The Perfect Festive Night In

The festive season is certainly a time for celebration, but sometimes staying in can be just as good as going out. If Christmas parties aren’t really your cup of tea, or you and your feet need a night off the dancefloor, the Dreamland team has put together everything you need for a perfect festive night in.

  1. A Christmas film

Yes, this is probably an obvious inclusion, but a good festive film is pretty central to our perfect Christmas night in! Whether you’re a fan of classics such as It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street (the original!), late Twentieth Century hits Home Alone, Scrooged and Die Hard or more recent festive creations Love Actually, The Holiday and Elf, everyone has their all-time favourite Christmas film.

  1. A cup of Christmas cheer

Whatever your tipple, make sure you complete your festive night in with plenty of hot, nourishing drinks. If we’re feeling extra festive, we love to crack open the mulled wine, but nothing quite beats a mug of hot chocolate! Top with marshmallows and settle down for a cosy festive night in.

  1. Wear something comfortable

Slip into your favourite festive pyjamas or a Christmas jumper to really get into the mood. After all, staying in is all about comfort. Complete your look with a pair of novelty Christmas slipper socks and you’re set for a perfect festive night in.

  1. Stay warm and cosy

Comfort is key when making the most of a night in, so curl up under a Dreamland faux fur heated throw. If you want to be extra warm, charge up a Dreamland heat on the go Heatpod (it only takes five minutes!) and you’ll be so cosy that you’ll never want to move.

  1. Snacks, and lots of them

Christmas is a time of indulgence, and what better way to indulge than preparing all of your favourite festive snacks. Pile up the mince pies and an assortment of other sweet treats.

  1. Christmas music

Turn up the festive music and spread the Christmas cheer. Whether you’re more of a Mariah fan, enjoy classic Christmas carols or prefer Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, there’s no denying that festive songs get everyone in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year.

Staying at home over the Christmas break can be just as festive, if not more, than going out. Follow our simple guide to the perfect festive night in and get in the mood for the big day! From the entire Dreamland team, we would like to wish our customers, followers, colleagues and friends a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
